Biography
Born and raised in Japan as the child of missionaries Phil and Debbie Melton, Nathan grew up immersed in Japanese culture and language through public schooling. From a young age, he worked alongside his parents in church ministry, camps, and teaching opportunities, which shaped his heart for service. He is certified in biblical counseling through the Low Country Biblical Counseling Center. In 2022, he joined the Japanese Biblical Counseling Association (JBCA). Currently serving as a missionary in Japan, his ministry focuses on evangelizing the lost, counseling those in need, discipling believers, and training Japanese nationals as biblical counselors. He is also working toward establishing biblical counseling centers throughout Japan to provide lasting gospel-centered help and hope.
