Emerita Sakai

Emerita Sakai, CPA is a Certified Biblical Counselor, OM Certified Coach/Mentor, and OM Certified Debriefer. A graduate of Prairie Graduate School in Three Hills, Canada, she has extensive international ministry experience with OM, having served in Belgium, the United Kingdom, Japan, and as Latin America Area Finance Officer until 2020 and Japan Finance Officer until 2025.

She continues to serve as OM Global Internal Auditor, Treasurer of the Japan Evangelical Missionary Association (JEMA) and the Japan Biblical Counseling Association. Emerita is married to Nobuya Sakai, Senior Pastor of Uchinada Bible Church.

Drawing on her experience in Christian ministry, cross-cultural service, coaching, and debriefing, Emerita seeks to walk alongside others with compassion and biblical wisdom, helping them find hope, encouragement, and a deeper dependence on God through life’s challenges.
